A Short Film on "Teaching Past the Cycle of Trauma"

"The Window of Learning" is a short film showing trauma-based reactions of students, explaining what is happening in the brain and body with these reactions, and giving practical, easy-to-remember tools for understanding and responding to these.

This film was written primarily by internationally-acclaimed and award-winning Child & Adolescent Trauma Therapist, Dr. Sandra Wieland, with input from experienced teachers, educators, School District 49, the Nuxalk Nation's Acwsalcta School, and from Physician, Dr. Erika Cheng.  It was filmed by award-winning Director, Hilary Pryor.
